Artie Bernard, Sr., Former Asst. Director & Quartermaster, Passes Away

It is with sad news that we report that Mr. Artie Bernard Sr., former Quartermaster & Assistant Director of both the Kidets (1973-1978) and Bridgemen (1979-1983) passed away this weekend. He leaves behind his wife Babe who was VERY active with both corps and his son Artie, Jr. who is an alumnus of both the Kidets and Bridgemen and is active with our Alumni Association.

Mr.Bernard was a GREAT person and LOVED the Bridgemen. His dedication to our organization back in the day was of caring and making sure the kids had a GREAT experience. He was ALOT of fun to be around and he will missed dearly.

Funeral will be Wednesday, June 16th from St Mary's Church at 9:30am.

It is also specifically requested by the family to please NOT wear black clothing. Unless it is Black and Yellow.

"Tournament of Stars" Tickets Now Available

On July 17th, 2010 at 6:00 p.m., The Bridgemen will be once again hosting "THE TOURNAMENT OF STARS INVITATIONAL" exhibition show. The show will take place at Veterans Stadium in Bayonne, which is located at the foot of west 25th street. We will be once again having the bus shuttle to and from the show, leaving from 4th street and Broadway & 16th street park at 4:30 & 5:30. Ticket infomation is HERE.

The Bridgemen Alumni Corps is saddened to announce that its beloved Brass Caption Head, Gabe Gulino, passed away this morning after losing his battle with cancer. He was 57 years old. He is survived by his wife Donna, who is a drill instructor with the corps, and his daughter Lauren, who marches soprano in the corps. The thoughts and prayers of the entire Bridgemen Organization go out to Donna and Lauren at their time of loss. The Bridgemen Alumni Corps will dedicate their 2010 season to Gabe's memory.
